Not according to what I'm reading about it. There has apparently been court rulings that demonstrate there is no duty to retreat if you did not provoke the confrontation. And again, there is also a self-defense statute that authorizes use of force and even lethal force, if there is adequate cause.
I'm pretty sure that preceding lethal force in "non stand your ground jurisdictions", if there is opportunity to retreat regardless that must be the first option

Let's be honest, it depends on how dirty the DA's are, seems only our side is being prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and then some.

From the videos I've seen, it appears he was attacked from behind, and his attacker was shot in the head. The mob begins chasing him afterward.
