My father and brother are former LEO. They have always told me that in any serious interactions with LEO you say "Officer, I will fully cooperate with an investigation once I have a lawyer." Repeat that and only that until you have a lawyer.
I have a healthy distrust of bodies that can wreck my life if they decide too. But i also enjoy a safe city, one of the safest. So its a balance. Be respectful and cooperative but not in a way that works against me without counsel present.

We support LEO but also realize they aren't your friends. They have a job to do as well.
