I think some know that's the game plan (a la saul alinsky) but many others are just playing along and then genuinely freak out when they are met with real force like those Biden Supporters who had warning shots fired at them when they entered a residential neighborhood.
You know they are LARPing because the first thing they say when shit goes down is "Call 911", which can be interpreted as "time out!". This is all just a game to them.
And their response to when people are looting or burning down property: "it's just stuff!"
No wonder they are all communist. They've never worked a day in their life to know the value of the things they are destroying. They have no attachment to things (which on some level is good) but don't understand that those things are people's time,energy,resources,sacrifices. Property in some sense is literally livelihood (which why some people are willing to defend it to their death).
It's the same with politicians who can't understand why destroying people's businesses through shutdowns is so horrible. Destroying someone's life savings is literally destroying a person's life by destroying all they've put into it.
