Nice. Yes. I already served in the .mil for two tours. I already did my public service. I have family back east in N.C. as a Dep. Sheriff. Don't get me wrong, I proudly display my blue line flag on my truck in and around Seattle (ugh, I know...). I have nothing but respect for our LEOs.
I talk with him about this all the time. I haven't talked with him today but I want to get his viewpoint. At some point in recent discussions he said he would quit before he would execute orders to arrest someone who clearly was in danger and running away from violence.
I am just sick of this shit where good people are being arrested for worshiping at church or gathering in a back yard with friends or refusing to wear a mask (NO LAW - just edicts or decrees) and the police arrest people. Shit, here in Seattle, they don't even arrest open drug use or criminality like handing out guns from the back or Teslas to people that are 18 (UNLAWFUL by recent gun laws). CLEAR VIOLATIONS. Yet, this shit happens.
If the police don't do the right thing, "just following orders" and NOT EXECUTE these clearly fucked up orders, then why even be in their corner to help keep them from being defunded? I think the precedence has already been made - see Nuremberg trials. Even the UCMJ has clauses for clearly objectional orders from superior officers.

So you know there's some out there. :)

Of course I do - out in the sticks people tend to be a lot more based. In the city, where this is really happening, it seems that it's the opposite of what you would expect.
Yes, I know. I am anti-defund the police.
However, they are really starting to make me struggle with that decision. They aren't there to be proactive, they aren't there to help when shit is going down. But they are there to be part of the liberal attack cabal to fuck up your world after it's all said and done.
I WANT law and order as long as it doesn't infringe on my Constitutional rights.
I don't think we have any other choice. It's going to get worse before it gets better. Not a lot of options the communist left and their progressive media enablers and apologists are leaving for normal Americans that just want to be fucking left alone.

Just my everyday moral struggle...

Because defunding the police would be worse.

The truth hurts, as the saying goes. It's not an easy decision, but it's the best one right now. Stick to it.
