I don’t buy that for one minute. Many of the militia men were saying they supported the cause as long as the targets were government and they stay away from private businesses and homes. Reading between the lines I think this was a tactic to not escalate a volatile situation while they are performing armed guard from rioters.
That proves nothing. This guy was with the militia protecting businesses when the police were giving out water. I watched the livestream on the rundown live last night. I even made a comment here shortly before the shooting that the police were pushing the rioters in the direction of the militia. I had a bad feeling about it.
If the militia really supported blm they would be out there with them. Not taking up rooftop positions to engage vandals and arsonists.
They’re pro blm in the same way I am. I don’t want to fight people constantly so I ignore it for the most part and vent online. They had enough awareness to not march into the middle of a riot and start yelling “Fuck BLM” because that would’ve been an obvious provocation. People looking to defend don’t instigate. You kind of have an obligation when you’re holding a rifle to act responsibly. Experienced gun owners know this.
