10th Amendment

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

Your state and local governments have far more power than the national government. Despite this broader power, your local government is less likely to abuse it on the theory that your mayor and other local elected bodies are your neighbors, thus such rule is the best reflection of the will of the collective local community.

10th. Right on. Ultimately the individual is the most powerful over his own life. Not so today for most.

I didn't even need to show the 10th.

The logical conclusion of their alternative was that all of us here grew up under the boot of an unconstitutional police force which is facially absurd and should have made it obvious that the positions the other guys were arguing was flawed and completely wrong.

Pass. Maybe we should scrutinize police forces more than something that is actually expressed in the 2nd.
