This may be a bit of a crap take but I feel Trump is really holding back from making more drastic measures to protect his election chances in November. The left has gotten away with literal murder at this point and I feel we haven't seen the proper response to squash that. I'm willing to bet after his reelection, Trump's demeanor with all this becomes very very different.
