The guy was running away from rioters and they attacked him. How is that not self defense? As he was on the ground they proceeded to swarm him. He shot like his life depended on it bc they went for his rifle according to eye witnesses.

Of course it is self defense. That's why they want to criminalize it. When you plan to genocide an entire nation for not supporting your plans for communism, you can't have the genocide-ees actually defending themselves with guns, can you?
