So I've had a pretty rough time through the shutdown. I'm a pretty social guy, and I need human interaction to stay sane. Not only did the shutdown really stifle me, but during quarantine I lost both my girlfriend and my best friend in the span of a few weeks (for mostly unrelated reasons). I was hoping with college starting I would be able to meet new people, but the social distancing crap has made it really difficult. It's frustrating because the pro-shutdown crowd seem totally oblivious to the fact that their policies are hurting people. Heck, I knew a guy who killed himself, and I don't know the specifics, but I do know he was also a social guy and this was also really weighing down on him too.
Not to be a total downer of course. Throughout you guys have been a lot of fun and have taught me to laugh at all the stupidity life sends my may. I just love the positivity and high energy of this site. I know it's silly seeing as none of us will likely ever meet in person, but I just wanted to let y'all (and the devs of course) know how awesome this site really is.

One other thing I forgot to mention. I absolutely love how even when things are bad we can still laugh about it. I go onto forums like r/politicalhumor (gag) and I can tell they're just constantly angry. I'm glad I found the one spot where people can joke about politics without frothing at the mouth.

What state are you in? We've been pretty lucky in SC.
WV. The shutdown isn't as bad as other states like New York, but my college is taking things pretty far. I'm still grateful it's not as bad as in the inner city.

Man dude I felt like I could have written that. We’re here for each other. It’s crazy how polarized our society is right now. Well, just know you are not alone. My gut feeling tells me there’s more of us than there are blue checkmarks and the media and these sheep. It’s just they’re just a louder voice. They are more of us, Godfearing, hardworking, fun to be around, love humans for being humans who are still trying to figure out life during lockdown. It’s hard!
I believe we’re nearing a real tipping point. We’re going to end lockdowns and take our country back, get Trump re-elected or the Good Lord makes his return lol. I’m certain that we’re nearing either a fight and therefore purpose or the finish line. There’s more of us than there are of them and we’re winners, and that means whatever the outcome, it will be in our favor. So we gotta keep hanging in there together. This thing is getting to us all. Not for much longer. Regardless, we’re in it together. Thanks for posting this!!
Keep your head up pede. I went through the same thing a bit ago. Stay strong and dont forget to reach out to us if it gets you down some more. We are family here. This shutdown has gotten many ppl down and you are not alone. We will get past this.
