Is provigil modifinil? The stim/nootropic?

Yes provigil is brand name modafinil. I used to buy the generic indian modafinil brand modalert.

Adrafinil is an earlier version of the drug and different. It is more of a wakefulness-promoting-agent than a stimulent. But it absolutely feels like a stimulant too.

Never said they were.

I disagree. It is currently used by our military. There are circumstances which it benefits.

I still think a pre-debate drug test is a brilliant idea. Although, I will say that even CBD oils can pop the tests. The ones you buy in grocery stores.

I also worry that people using legally prescribed cannabis may face issues with 2A.

Umm so if I take Provigil to kill jet lag (i.ow. enhance performance) on a business trip that makes me no different than a junkie?

Fuck You

Yes, except heroin makes you sleep and uppers make you sleep 4 hrs a night. Not saying its good, but a lot of very high functioning people are doing it for not-quite-hardcore necessity.

What sort of experience do you have with drugs and or addiction? With all due respect, you don't sound like you are terribly qualified to be rendering an opinion.

You are attempting to force two very disparate categories of people into one large box.

Drug addiction can happen to anyone, even you. The worst thing you can do is think you are immune or different than those people, IMO.

The brain plays crazy tricks on itself when it gets addicted to something. We are just now learning the full extent to which the brain can basically motivate itself to give it what it wants. With many substances, like opiates for instance, asking a person to stop that cycle with simple "will power" is not really an option. The brain makes sure of that.

Once you get into the throes of such a disastrous cycle your life can degenerate quickly around you without a personal safety net of support.

I'd be careful about thinking you are any different from these people or any less susceptible to addiction.

You'd also be shocked at the use of amphetamines in the world around you.

Many people you know and interact with may be using these drugs and you would have little to no way of knowing.

Anecdotally, I know the financial sector has adopted its use so widely that many have expressed feelings they are at a disadvantage by not using them. It is that widespread yet still there are many that are completely oblivious to it.

But someone taking Adderall at their job to get ahead and a heroin addict looking to degenerate themselves for their next IV hit are two very different things, IMO.

I don't think I am too good for either to happen to me under the right circumstances, and I don't believe anyone else is either.

But I would save my hate for these people because they will inflict far more damage and retribution upon themselves for their transgressions that you ever could.

There too go I but by the grace of God.

Really? I have MS too. I didn’t know there was something for the fatigue. Gonna have to talk to the VA doc about it.

Nuvigil only lasts longer. Hard to say what is ‘better’ Depends on what the application is

Off topic but for MS research Dr. Terry Whals who has mostly reversed her symptoms through food choice.

Hubby has MS and just started taking it about a month ago. It does help him with his fatigue. Prayers to you, fellow pede. It's not easy.

This pede medicals.

It doesn't pick up on standard amphetamine tests, and it's used off-label for dementia.

Correct!

You think GEOTUS' people are dumb enough not to request a full GC-MS test?

I doubt they are planning on using dipsticks.

It's not like the budget or turn-around is an issue in this circumstance.

Biden will definitely be coked up lmao

WestPalm 7 points ago +7 / -0

Hunter Biden, that is. Cocaine would not help.

Cocaine would not help.

I fervently disagree with this statement. Getting Creppy Joe all buttered up would indeed help my enjoyment of the debates, bigly.
