I think the tax issue has been shelved until after Trump wins. The guy suing for them in NY won the latest appeal over them, and could order them legally, but has declined, for....reasons.
I wonder if it is timing. One of Bidens tax plans is a receipts tax where you pay 15% on sales even if you have losses. I figure that was targeted at Trump and would be coordinated with releasing his taxes.
That would be incredibly destructive. That would jump prices on everything up to 15% and simultaneously discourage investments in expansions, large projects, new machinery, etc.
I hate how the private sector is forced into an ever-evolving pivot competition to keep the government's hand out of their pocket.
