Do keep in mind the exact time frame this occurred was when military officials were openly attacking Trump. Having officials declaring it ok paves the way for subordinates to do the same, then suddenly this. If it was sabotage the investigation absolutely needs to look at the possibility of multiple people being involved, including higher officials. They cannot allow this to simply fall under 1 guy, imagine the precedent and weakness that displays. 1 guy should not and cannot be able to bring down a next gen carrier, it should not be possible under any circumstances.
