Get this. I'm not a US citizen. And I live in Japan. Wife is Japanese. As usual, they're broadcasting the lies CNN feeds them. He was unarmed. There were kids in the car. He was shot 7 times in the back for no reason. They broadcast the interview with his fiancee repeating the same lies. And my wife is watching this shit. And she swallows it all and then some more. And I'm sitting there fuming, because I know these are all lies. And at one point l, I can't take it anymore. I just go "these are all lies. They are not reporting the truth. This man is a felon. He was fleeing police. He was fighting them a few seconds before. He's a criminal. He once raped a 14 year old and.."
And that's when she just said "もう黙って、うるさい", Which can be translated as "you're annoying ,just shut the fuck up".
Man, I really hate the media. All the media. No exception. They are driving their fucking wedge everywhere. They are the source of ALL chaos and lawlessness and disorder everywhere. I hate them with a passion.
They're brainwashed here. They will believe anything the TV says. With a few exceptions, they're fucking robots.

Yep. Wife is Japanese. I lived there for 4 years. Can confirm that TV is their holy Gospel. As peaceful as they are are and detest the very thought or idea of war... the TV could easily have 99% of the society do a full 180 on that stance within a year.
I'm all for many things in that culture but this media control is a ticking time bomb. I can't make her realize the truth of all media lies, but I took my time to expose the leftists to her and my wife believes the truth about this stuff. Finally. がんばれ

My experience with the Japanese is that they want to be agreeable at almost any cost. So if the media is portraying one narrative most all Japanese will go along with what they consider the group census. There was a good book a read back in college when I took a few years of Japanese called The Anatomy of Dependence.
