Now that things are getting more serious, I understand that soldiers carry a med kit for others to use if they get wounded.

What should I carry on me when I carry my rifle, in case I get shot?

Tourniquets, Gloves, Rolled Gauze, 2x2 and 4x4 gauze squares, 4in and 6in wife ace wraps, Nasopharyngeal airways of varying sizes, Chest seals or other occlusive dressings, 14 gauge 3.25in needle with catheter, Reflective foil or like type blankets, Medical tape.

Biggest necessity of all? LOTS of training and practice those skills. Medical skills are VERY perishable.

Find an assessment algorithm you can easily learn and follow to quickly asses and treat life threatening injuries.

One I use is M.A.R.C.H.

Massive hemorrhage Airway management Respirations Circulation Hypothermia/Head injuries

I hope this helps!
