. . . Realistically, what was Kyle's purpose in being there in the first place with his weapon? He claimed to be protecting the businesses because the government and police force won't. He's a vigilante trying to do good, but what force does he have to stop these criminals? Will he be arresting people? No. So, he stands there looking menacing with his gun in the hopes that people will be too afraid to approach and back off?

This angle would be more effective if he had a position to stay in permanently and he had more backup with other people protecting the businesses in the front of the doors. They could be lined up all over the place so these criminals can't access the buildings. From what I saw in the few videos, they were in a scuffle with the rioters (here, I'm referring to the video in which the guy bags to be shot). Why get this close to them, rather than guarding the buildings? Maybe it's true and maybe it's not, but a comment I read, earlier, stated that his groupies were on the rooftops. If that's true, how did they access it and what the hell are they going to protect in this position? It makes it look more like target practice (I don't believe that that would be the intent because I prefer having the benefit of the doubt, but if I look at things objectively, this is where the mind wanders), if that's true. You can't do anything in that position. You're useless unless you intend on shooting people.

Like I said before, I feel like just posing these questions might be controversial, but I'm using critical thinking and I just wonder how this can be considered effective? When the govenrment and police force aren't there to protect you, do you consider this the example we should follow?
