Fair point. Most states have allowances for reasonable age differences of 2-3 years.18/15.5-16 is usually OK. My bet is the kids was much younger.

He is 36 years old. The offense took place in Dec 2002. That makes him about 18. I mean, if the girl was 17, and in his same grade in high school, it could have been his girlfriend or something. The charge was "sexual conduct with a minor," so it wasn't rape. Maybe the girl was very young, but being 18 years old it's more likely he was doing shit with someone 17 (and almost 18) and in the same grade. Literally months apart. Need more details before I pass judgement knowing those details. Growing up, 17 and 18 year olds were always hooking up because they were in the same grade/classes.
