Going to Utah to stay with some Mormon friends and then Galveston is my first stop currently. I have 4 months to kill so if you have any ideas I'll go explore. I need to finish my degree, so itd need to be near a decent college, preferably not somewhere insanely hot.

SE Gulf Coast will be gorgeous. Fall fishing is great, leaves are changing, Auburn Alabama LSU etc all close-by. Humidity gets high and frequent rain in summertime.
A LOT of college-ages hang out at at the beaches. (Same as Florida beaches at an Alabama price)
What are some good places in Alabama/Mississippi on the coast?
Gulf Shore and Orange Beach, Dauphin Island. Mississippi doesn't really have good beaches, those start at Dauphin Island.
Baldwin County, and cities of Fairhope and Daphne are both pretty solid.
