I like the kid. He was mistreated. I'm glad he won and will win more money from the leftist creeps.
However, his speech at the RNC was awful - wooden reading, 0 emotion or conviction. Come on, practice.
Eric Trump, BTW, was terrific. That's how you deliver a speech.
I could not disagree with you more about Nick Sandman's speech. In fact, I would describe Nick's speech as 'powerful' and 'compelling.'
It wasn't a speech. It was him reading something someone else wrote. From the looks of it, he was reading it for the first time.
That's because I'm absolutely right.
The dude is barely out of high school and never had any intention of being a public figure making speeches of any kind until that life was thrust upon him.
In 10 minutes, I could teach him how to speak it with conviction rather than read it woodenly.
Cool. I'm sure he's more then able to hire a real vocal coach if he feels like making more speeches in the future though.
This was a big event. It was the time to hire a coach or even read it a few times until he could speak it.
I've worked with people who couldn't speak in public to save their lives. In five minutes, I had them looking and sounding like practiced pros.
Rule #1: Speak it, don't read it. He read it.
We just spent last week criticizing the DNC for their recorded, head shot convention. Now the RNC is doing theirs exactly the same way, except worse - people woodenly reading words someone else wrote.
All the Trumps were terrific. Nick was awful.
Alright Pericles, let's see it. Record yourself making a speech and post it here.
Bonus points if you end it by saying Carthage should be destroyed. We'll give you to say, Friday night to have the video posted.
I don't do homework. Go watch your TV. You'll hear me on commercials.
You can do that. I will speak up as I always do. His speech was wooden, 0 conviction. His message is powerful. With not much work, he can deliver it in a powerful way. Reading it as if it's the first time he saw words someone else wrote is not powerful.
Your average 18-year-old kid is not going to be a master orator, especially when he has to recall all the bullshit he's dealt with in the last 18 months. Lay off him.
He was speaking at the RNC. In 10 minutes, I could have him speaking it with conviction rather than reading it.
You've said this a few times now. How about recording yourself giving a speech and uploading it here for us all to watch so we can see your Cicero-esque delivery. I'm quite looking forward to Conservativefrank's Funeral Oration going down in the annals of history.
Love your Roman references. I hope he is more a Cato than a Sulla!
I don't do homework.
There's a lot of mileage between the kid's wooden delivery and a great delivery.
Speaking it is not "like an asshole". It means saying it, having emotion and conviction rather than reading it.
Most "guest" speakers are pretty bad in both conventions, but then again they arnt really brought in to give incredible speeches as much as just to highlight key points. All in all the kid did a good job, he's not a politician and could have been way worse.
He did a horrible job.
I thought the complete opposite he sounded sincere
Yes, he was sincerely reading woodenly from a prompter.
Sandmann’s a winner. His speech was great. Yuge for an 18yr old. You sound like a whiny loser.
It wasn't a speech. It was reading from a prompter. He had 0 conviction - like a piece of wood.
His message is great. His speech was not.
He has fuck you money now.
He could have just stood there with his dick out for 4 minutes and told you to read it yourself. LOL!
I agree, He could have taken time to practice it and then spoken it with conviction rather than read it woodenly.
FO, A. He's a young man and not used to giving speeches.
He will be better at it in time.
"Hey kid, read that over a few times. Then when it's time on the camera, you can say it instead of reading it."
