When you leave a date field empty in programming, it evaluates to Jan 1, 1970. Which if used to calculate his age, would make him 43 in 2013.

I did find other Wisconsin court records for minor stuff like traffic tickets and eviction and failure to obey an officer. He did not show up in court for any of those things.

But what this means is that when someone WITH money and insurance comes in, the hospital will try to squeeze THEM out of 5-6x the actual cost of treatment to recoup the losses elsewhere.

The insurance I work for uses a % of medicare allowable to reprice medical service lines... you would be shocked at what bullshit hospitals do.
I think 150% of medicare allowable for a CT scan is something around $700 depending on the state.
Hospitals routinely charge non medicare patients between $7000 and $16000 for a CT. Insurance negotiates that down by pressuring the hospitals legally (when there isn't a contracted rate, and there usually isn't if we're not talking about the BIG BIG household name insurance companies).
But that's retarded billing rate, and I see it all day every day.
Hospitals, in my experience, are the bad guys. Yes, there are big insurance companies that get contractual price breaks, but even then hospitals will try to bill patients for extra and hope they don't fight it.
I don't begrudge hospitals trying to cover expenses they can't recoup from illegals and criminals. I'd blame the government for forcing the hospitals to treat those wastes of humanity and losing millions in the process

what you're actually seeing there, most of the wound is filled in with a what's called a wound VAC that's filling up the area that's going to have to heal over a long,long time.
For folks wondering
The black stuff is foam. It is packed into the wound to create a pathway for all the stuff the vacuum pump (where vac in wound vac comes from) sucks up from living tissue to flow through on its way to that tube coming out his elbow.
On top of the foam, and spanning on to his skin is a clear plastic film (strong stuff with a strong glue on it) that creates an airtight seal across the wound.
Then the tube is attached to a break in the clear plastic. When the vacuum is started the previously springy foam condenses down as air pressure outside the seal pushes it all into place.
On the far end of the tube (not pictured) is a vacuum, which houses a pump, sensors, batteries (when portable) and a chamber to catch all the crap that it sucks out of the wound.
The gentle suction of the vac both cleans the wound site out and encourages blood flow to the area to aid healing.
