You’re being too narrow and are focused on the wrong things. We’re a nation and we, as a united population, are weak for allowing this to happen. I agree that rival nations looking to compete on the world stage - China, India, Russia - are watching this and laughing about how stupid the US must be to let these violent riots go without consequence or punishment. In any other country (that’s actually ascending in power and influence - so not a good chunk of the EU), law and order would have been strictly enforced and Antifa would have been gunned down with live ammo after they refused to comply and stop rioting.
I agree. Unfortunately this is an election year so both sides are playing this game in order to win the election.
I was previously upset that Trump was waiting to be asked by Democrat leadership before helping, however he has to in order to win. If he took action, the MSM & demented Democrats would have a field day casting him as some evil tyrant.
Trump has to win or the violence, rioting & looting will hit everywhere including the suburbs. After the election, I expect Trump to take the gloves off when dealing with the civil unrest and without being asked.
Don’t mistake my comments for saying I think Trump isn’t correct to force the Dems into admitting they need law and order - you and I are on the exact same page with Trump essentially being forced into this position or the nation experiencing these issues for generations to come. I think he’s dealing with everything correctly.
This exactly. Dems wont waste any opportunity in vilifying Trump. They are already targeting him over the Portland riots for sending the troops in.
Since Trump took office they havent wasted a moment in vilification of Trump. Russia, Muller, Impeachments, this & that it has been a constant stream of hate and abuse, stemming from their inability to accept Trumps win.
To make this even Trump has to find a way to throw some of the democrat leaders including Pelosi, Nadler, Schifty Shiff in prison
