Titanfall is the real CoD, the developers left the franchise and started their own company "Respawn Entertainment" and created two of the best games ever made, Titanfall 1 and Titanfall 2.
Yeah, Titanfall 2 has one of the best single player stories in videogame history. Never thought I would get emotional about a robot sidekick, but damn they hooked me!
i went to buy 2016. Accidentally bought Eternal. Didn't even know a second one had come out. Eternal was fucking amazing. Went to look at 2016 again after beating Eternal, and it just did not look nearly as fun/challenging.
I will respect your opinion. However Doom Eternal is God damn amazing. I liked the change in flow, less ammo, more thinking on your feet with how to deal with enemies, have to learn the weapons instead of sticking to Siege Cannon/Super Shotty meta from 2016 (which is still a damn good game).
It's the best kind of learning curve, man. You can get to 90% in a matter of a few hours, but to get to 100% takes years and it is very evident when someone is great.
Yeah, even though i've been boycotting EA since sim city i think i'll make an exception for Respawn going forward since they have a good track record. Maybe that will teach EA what we really want.

Titanfall 2 movement mechanics make it the GOAT.
This. Titanfall 2 is the greatest game to come out in the past decade.
Thank you russianbot :P
Seriously, if you play you should get on the /r/titanfall network, it's a fun bunch.
Love Titanfall 2! Actually my favorite FPS game, bar none.
Multi player was great... but the story was amazing. I'm gonna need a tf3 or dead space 4 from these guys

They really did, it was like iron giant all over again!
Dead Space was Visceral. And that dev has been done for a while. A next gen dead space like the second one would be hype
Then they made Apex Legends and cucked out and had Black Lives Matter banner for weeks
Doom eternal is the most disappointing game of the year.
I wanted more Doom 2016, and instead I got a cooldown manager with a dope soundtrack.

Never played this but keep seeing it mentioned. How steep is the learning curve?

Not steep at all. It's so worth playing.
At first you're just jumping around
then you're flying across the map ninja-kicking people in the face
Too bad they paired with EA
AAA games require AAA publishers :I
It was probably easier to negotiate with their old bosses than find a new publisher.

Fucking love titanfall 2. Hope they're making another!
i don't understand what i am watching
The glory that is the TF2 movement system and showing the difference between a noob and a veteran with good map knowledge and a lot of practice.
looks to me like movement system just yeets you around the map like a strapped Mary Poppins
yes, but in a fun way, not COD's jumpy jumpy shoot.
TF2 is a shooter based off the movement mechanics.
COD is a shooter with movement strapped on top.
Has a DAMN high skill ceiling.
Except it's not the movement system yeeting him around the map.
It's him using the movement system to yeet himself around the map, and it's not easy to do this well.
Watch to the end.
Basically it's all the movement options in Titanfall 2. Practically limitless possibilities.
It's far more fun on the PC, you can feel like a superhero with the sheer speed of things.
I once chained 10+ melee, grenade, and shotgun kills in one life, spread across mere seconds.
