I gave up my membership a few years ago as well. Change has been needed at the top for a decade or more. The allegations of corruption comes as no surprise.

This was attempted a couple years ago by Chris Cox. The coup failed and Wayne installed synchophants.

NRA leadership's children attend the same elite schools with other DC & NY bureaucrats, lobbyists, & politicians' children, so why cause too much trouble with that whole 2A thingy.

DC & NY dinner parties are supposed to be a peaceful affair.

I don't know much about the NRA dealings but I can see why the won't. The moment they get involved the media will no longer cover the events and Kyle, (like they would anyway), but they'll run hog wild with "NRA is bad" narrative.

If Sandman's lawyers are getting involved, I think it'll be fine and easier without the NRA.

12
deleted 12 points ago +13 / -1
4
hilboggins 4 points ago +4 / -0

Cuz all you need is a Judge, Jury or Lawyer to start basing this off "NRA lobbying" instead what actually fucking happened for the case to turn it into a shit show.

Get the NRA involved, this will get HIJACKED and it won't help the kid in any way.

All I care about is getting shit done as efficiently as possible and the video is all the evidence they need.

GrabLifeByThePussy 6 points ago +6 / -0

And when is the last time the NRA fought to get the NFA repealed? They pick just enough fights to keep gunners happy, but not enough to get us our rights back.

3
GrabLifeByThePussy 3 points ago +3 / -0

If they do the job people PAY then specifically to do, they'll get called names so they don't do it? That's pathetic. If that's how it's going to be we're better off without them and keeping our money. Going to bat for gun owners is their whole reason for existing.

Do you have anything on their track record? I have been thinking of throwing money to a cause but want to see that they get stuff done.

7
MuhSoy 7 points ago +7 / -0

just buy a lot of Black Rifle coffee... and ammo.

5
Beartorus 5 points ago +5 / -0

I mean, I already do that but I would love a group to lobby on the ground that all gun laws are unconstitutional.

1
LugNuts 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pretty much the same as all of the Parler shills that piled in here a month ago, then disappeared when everyone realized they were no better than Twatter.

CleanYourRoom 38 points ago +38 / -0

Remember when that russian lady was exposed who was girlfriend of NRA president. Media says she influenced NRA to act as russian assett. Looks like she was there to undernine the orginization. They want to weaken NRA and destroy our rights.

28
E-dantes 28 points ago +29 / -1

Wayne is controlled opposition! She didn't do anything to get him to do anything he wasn't already doing. That's why Heston left, or was forced out. He saw what Wayne was, a literal empty 3000 dollar suit.

13
Abovethefray 13 points ago +13 / -0

Put Job Bluth in there. He has a 4600 dollar suit. You gonna tell the guy in the 4600 dollar suit what to do?

Caveat; it is his dad's suit, the crotch doesn't fit right... but still.

Maria Butina was used by the FBI as a walking FISA virus to "infect" anyone they wanted to target for political domestic surveillance. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/10/25/fisa-virus-maria-butina-released-from-federal-prison-for-immediate-deportation/

The NRA still has a use. Shitlibs just angrily waste all their energy screaming and crying about them. They're a good meatshield.

16
GoldwaterVoter 16 points ago +17 / -1

In 2010, NRA refused to endorse .357 carrying Sharron Angle (and remained silent about Harry Reid). Many folks switched to GOA.

15
M3CJC 15 points ago +16 / -1

Since were changing names I propose the NFA, National Faggot Association since that’s what they are.

NRA, Not Really an Association...just a front.

12
CyclopticErotica 12 points ago +12 / -0

My gun club makes you join for the insurance. I'd imagine a lot of memberships are that way. They do provide value as a boogeyman, not much else.

Doing God's work! I hope everyone else here who might still be with NRA does the same. I would, but was never a member to begin with. They won't stand up for our rights like they claim to, they don't deserve my money or support.

2
ArcticDark 2 points ago +3 / -1

I was able to land a fairly nice tactical bag, and 5 years of a rifle magazine subscription for like 120$ for like a 5 or 6 year membership. The goodies were what tipped me over to "pull the trigger". The NRA needs to be more vocally active in defense of the 2a, or I'm not resubbing.

The NRA does gun safety classes and gives politicians grades on their pro 2nd amendment voting record. They're not about defending shooters.

2

2

I support NRA Goa and uscca. Don't like having all my eggs in one basket

5
MisterKag 5 points ago +5 / -0

It has become a useless monument to gun rights. But one we need to defend.

I won’t give them a cent at this point.

But I will fight against the left’s attacks on it, because of its trophy status in the bigger battle.

Nothing. They’re a lobby group for pro gun ownership legislation. All this hate is misdirected and a sham. I’ve never heard of them getting regularly involved, legally, in specific shooting cases.

This misdirected hate against them needs to stop. If the SDNY is trying to take them down, you can know they’re on our side.

4
SimPilot 4 points ago +5 / -1

Maybe I'm not understanding, but NRA is an advocacy group to influence laws for gun rights. Not to defend shootings that happen, regardless of how correct/incorrect we perceive it to be.

When not even the NRA believes in self defense, it makes me want to support accelerationism. Just go ahead and defund and dismantle the police and justice system, like the terrorists want. Then those of us who fear and respect the law will be free to overcome its shortcomings.

1
Ilanna 1 point ago +1 / -0

My husband prefers the 2nd Amendement Foundation over the NRA. NRA has become corrupt and is showing signs of supporting gun bans and other crazy things.

1
duallyford 1 point ago +1 / -0

The NRA needs to be torn down from the top down and rebuilt.

Start by not donating.

1
Hassayamper 1 point ago +1 / -0

Agreed. Also Philando Castile.

I am a life member but lately it seems like they don’t represent me. They are a little too comfortable with Beltway logrolling and a little too well manicured and tailored.

1
67Vert 1 point ago +2 / -1

Wow!!! So many on TD backing the Dems moves to defund the NRA.

Proud NRA Member here. I will continue to contribute. And NRA will continue to fight for the Second Amendment for you

You are very much like the leftists that call to defund the police for a few bad actions

1
tholins 1 point ago +2 / -1

The NRA is kind of like the Wounded Warriors Foundation. They get all the public credit, but mostly just exist to pay themselves on the back and waste donation money, while the real work is being done by smaller, less recognized organizations.

1
