A knife is a weapon

You see, he has one of those British cars and he was getting into the passenger’s side.

All fun aside. The jogger was armed while walking around the car. Opened the driver’s side door to get something or flee. Got shot and dropped the knife.

It isn’t fucking rocket science. But I guess the narrative is most important to these shitheads.

I don't even think it matters if there was a weapon in the vehicle. If a guy refuses to do what the police tell him to do, and then reaches into his vehicle (after an altercation with officers), the officers have a reasonable apprehension or fear that he is reaching into his vehicle for a weapon. The perp can easily reach in, grab a gun, and pivot back toward the officers while firing upon them. Furthermore, some people are perplexed as to why so many bullets were fired...officers are trained to take down the perp, not to wound him (for very obvious reasons).

He had warrants and violent priors and the cops made their presence known and drew their weapons BEFORE he turned away from them. It could have been a knife, it could have been a bazooka, it could have been a stick of five gum or mentos (the freshmaker). It would have ended the same way this time and everytime.

I find it utterly impossible to get something into the front seat of a vehicle from the back seat. Preposterous.
