Pan out the first shot in the image. At about the same frame there's a third party walking on the sidewalk who discharges the first shot into the air. Rittenhouse registers, turns in the direction of that shot fired, and there's bald guy running right at him. Bang bang.

Mist doesnt come out of a molotov...and that looks to me like something in a plastic grocery bag backlit by the light in the background. Also notice it didn't burst into flames when it landed...odd if that were a molotov full of gas. I'd guess a plastic bag full of shit personally.
