I'm still not seeing the "incendiary device," and I've looked. Rosenbaum has a bag in his hand before the shooting and the video shows him throwing something and what appears to be the same bag on the ground as the cameraman approached freshly shot Rosenbaum. What was in the bag is the question. It didn't burn. The motion and effort required to throw the bag (full windup and follow thru) by Rosenbaum seems like it was heavy.
Red white and blue bag in Rosenbaum's hand at 0:17 before shooting.
Same red white and blue bag on ground at 1:11 after being thrown by Rosenbaum
I think you're right about the incendiary. I saw one of the streamable vids on the mega thread that wasn't quit as high resolution as this, on the other vid it looked like something that was burning, like a molotov, I was wondering why it didn't explode. https://twitter.com/trbrtc/status/1298840777251008512
Still getting chased by an angry mob alone is enough to make you fear for your life, I don't know anything about castle doctrines in Illinois/ Wisconsin though.
All that matters is what could have been in that bag and what he believed was in that bag. That bag isn't flying like an empty bag, it clearly has something in it, and for all we know it was a brick. That's lethal.
We need to stop trying to come up with excuses.
Kid was in fear for his life, rightfully so, and stopped the threat without putting innocent bystanders in danger.
The arm wound was also close enough where the damage wasn't solely from the slug but also from the gas escaping the muzzle. Normally it would just backwash but at point blank it goes into the target and there is a lot of energy in it.
If you've ever seen a picture of someone getting a leafblower to the face, it's like that except much more focused and much stronger.
Effectively the bullet ricocheted off the guy's head, while traveling at mach 3. The kinetic energy transfer of even a glancing blow from the round is probably similar to being hit with a bludgeon.
I think the guy who was shot in the arm, shot the pedo in the head. I bet the cops find his weapon was discharged. You can see him taking a shooting stance as Pedo chases Kyle behind the car.
Prior military. I shot a man in the head from about six feet away with 5.56 LR. Exit wound was the size of a golf ball. Considering this guy had his head wrapped in a shirt.. I don’t think we have any images showing the exit wound.
There was hardly any blood. Entrance wound was right below the guys nose. Just left a red spot the size of a 5.56 round. Exit wound was mangled and bloody but no blood poured out.
To my untrained eye, the wound looked like a glancing blow to the side of the head, and not an entry/exit. That said, no military experience here, just some dude on the internet who didn't own a gun 3 months ago.
As you also mentioned, the short might have covered up the exit, and we don't see the back of his head.
Depends on the round. A hunting round would take a big chunk out. A full metal jacket at close range would likely enter and exit without a large wound. You can fire a FMJ through a wood fence post and it will just have a clean hole all the way through.
The guy who shot into the air in the first encounter really escalated it. Kyle is actively retreating and he hears gunshots behind him, turns around and sees short stack right behind him, cranks off 4 rounds, then the other shooter sends 3 more. Lucky the other shooter is a bad shot. They shot 8 more at him after the second encounter too as he was getting up and walking toward police. All missed.
There are other people shooting nearby in several clips, although I've had a real hard time determining much about those other shooters including images/video, or what they might have been shooting at.
For example, after Kyle shoots the 2nd and 3rd, you can hear 7 more gunshots nearby, but I haven't heard anything about those shots.
For those that watched the video from yesterday showing the first shooting, it was immediately clear to me that the first shot was a different firearm than Kyle's. The sound was different. I guess people are now seeing the first shooter on video.
Is the assumption that the first shooter, the one with a handgun, shot the pedo in the head? Then Kyle returned fire. Reported the incident. Then mob. Then self-defense?
That "muzzle flash" looks way in the background, and the smoke looks a LOT closer. Looks like someone is on the other side of the vehicle smoking.
And the guy Kyle shot in the head was chasing him and threw an incendiary device at him. No gunshots needed.
If you look at other videos, it wasn't an incendiary device, it just was a plastic bag filled with stuff. That's pretty clear.
It looked like a brick in a bag.
Even still, the pedo chasing Kyle was obviously threatening great bodily harm sans an incendiary device.
One of the videos shows it clearly on fire before the flames go out
The video at the gas station you can see somebody hand him the plastic bag...ill update when I can find it again

Yeah, there is plenty to support a self defense claim for the first shooting with or without a Molotov cocktail.
Yeah the no explosion thing sealed the deal for me that it wasn't a Molotov.
I thought it was at first but there would have been a fire ball on impact.
Light shining through a plastic bag seems about right but who knows what could have been in that bag
Biden Voters are known for throwing bricks and concrete and, just like animals of a certain genus, feces.
All that matters is what could have been in that bag and what he believed was in that bag. That bag isn't flying like an empty bag, it clearly has something in it, and for all we know it was a brick. That's lethal.

Case closed, kid's a hero.
Fuck the left.
I know what was in the bag that was thrown: Biden's chance of winning.
It looks like a brick/concrete in a bag.
A minor was being chased down by a convicted pedophile. Can’t make this shit up.
It doesn't really matter where exactly it was, if it was within 100 yards, you go on high fucking alert, especially if it came from behind you.
It was probably one of their "shit cocktails" they like to throw at cops.
He didn't kill the pedo either but that's a story for another time.
Itd be crazy if they find a handgun round in his dome
The upclose stills I've seen look like it was a glancing blow above his temple. Probably crushed and sent bone fragments into his brain.
I think that's what they'll find, his head would have had wayyy more damage if he had been hit with that AR.
Just rewatched and it looks like someone fell after first shot BEFORE Kyle pops off.
Looks like the guy that threw the whatever at Kyle so presumably the Pedo.
Compare the wound of the guy shot in the arm with the guy shot in the head. Half of the guy's arm is missing, but the guy's head is intact?
The head shot was not a direct hit but it was enough.
The skull is a lot sturdier than the flesh on the arm.
Just not sturdy enough.
The arm wound was also close enough where the damage wasn't solely from the slug but also from the gas escaping the muzzle. Normally it would just backwash but at point blank it goes into the target and there is a lot of energy in it.

That would be AWESOME!!!!!!
And probably didn't shoot the pedo!
If the pedo was shot in the head with a 5.56 round the exit wound would be huge.

Would there be more blood? It looks like a grazing wound to his right forehead but there's not much blood.
There was hardly any blood. Entrance wound was right below the guys nose. Just left a red spot the size of a 5.56 round. Exit wound was mangled and bloody but no blood poured out.
Oh I did not notice that. That would make sense. Back to the videos!

5.56 FMJ vs watermelon usually has a nice gaping hole in the back.
Plus the shockwave makes to melon jump.
I can also punch a hole through a watermelon.
WE ARE GOING TO WIN.

It seems plausible.
No, the latest video shows someone behind Kyle firing into the air. Kyle turned about and was being attacked and fired. But it's all very unclear.
Ok. The situation is absolutely confusing. Kyle got is right though. Judged by 12 instead of carried by 6.
I'm not sure if Kyle fired first or not, and its irrelevant.
He was being chased by an angry person who was threatening him.
Despite Kyle being armed, he still chose to retreat rather than fight.
Only when red shirt man had closed the gap on him did he fire at more or less point blank range.
And then after the shot it looks like he pulls out his cell phone. Did he call 911?
It's speculated the phone call was probably 911, although we probably won't have confirmation until this ends up in court.
Rought ro raggy, the narrative doesn't fit what MSM wants.
Flush it down the memory hole.
Han Solo didn't shoot first.
