They are still trying. They don't even have to acknowledge or repeal current gun laws even when ruled on, and will attempt to use everything as a means to push more gun control. Remember, property damage isn't violence, you don't have a right to defend yourself, others, or your property...
We are talking about elitist government despots. Gun control will continue until they are all removed from every level of government and court.
People have to realize that they are not arguing from an honest position. Their goal is gun bans. Not safety, not saving lives, not preventing crime, or protecting property or constitutional rights. They want gun bans, and simply wait and pick whatever serves that purpose.
Once they get that, they will be pro-police and even more pro-federal-government. California already has a registry, they already have the mechanism to limit ammunition sales, and targeted confiscation. They are just waiting for enough support to use it.
