We've never has a "fact checker" in the history of American debates.
Its a retarded concept the moderator asks questions and its up to the American people to decide on whether or not the answer was adequate.
If the moderator starts challenging the answer ("fact checking") then they are participating in the debate themselves.
At most a moderator can ask for a follow-up or clarification but never challenge the answer.
