When the gun goes click, instead of boom. Typically you have a round of ammo jammed in the gun. Typically racking the gun, slapping the clip and then re-firing is enough to eject the jammed round and insert Another round into the chamber. Keep in mind this wasn’t being done at the firing range for Kyle. It was being done while being assaulted and defending his life.
Think of a pump shotgun, for instance - when you fire, you pull the pump mechanism back, which ejects a shell, and another one pops into the port, then you slide it back up, which slides the next shell into the barrel. A lot of things can go wrong mechanically there.
All different types of guns function differently, but they all have some kind of mechanism like that, except maybe revolver? I don't know, I'm not a gun nut, I only have a pump shotgun haha. In any case, you have to fix the problem before you can start shooting again, which is probably a huge pain if you haven't shot a lot of rounds with said gun. That's why I think people are so impressed - he's young, but has apparently trained himself as well as or better than lots of law enforcement veterans. I mean, I still can't believe he shot the ARM THAT WAS HOLDING THE GUN of the "medic."
It's absolutely true. I just reviewed each shooting at 0.25 speed.
It happens in between skater fag and "medic" fag. Kyle transitions from skater fag to medic fag because of the pistol in his right hand, fires, nothing happens. Medic fag freezes, realizing Kyle shot at him but nothing happened. Kyle then clearly takes his shooting (right) hand off the pistol grip, racks the charging handle, and then transitions his hand back. Medic fag, thinking he has a chance to shoot Kyle during the hasty SPORTS drill, starts to point pistol at him and Kyle let's it rip.
Kyle definitely wins the award for "Operator as fuck!"
I'll admit I practice FTF far more with my pistol than with an AR (or did before all my guns were lost in a tragic shed fire) best way I found is buy a pack of snap caps or high quality dummy rounds, and have a friend at the range load your mags for you and put the dummy in at random. That way it's more of a surprise when it goes click and not bang.
I have a set of 9mm ammo I reloaded where I intentionally left the old primer in and didn't put any powder in. I would load up a few magazines with those mixed in so while I was shooting I would just get a click instead of a bang. It was mainly to train myself to not flinch due to anticipating recoil, but it also helped with learning to clear the dud round immediately and continue firing.
I am beside myself with pride for him.
Legit inspired me to sign up for CCL classes!
No. The "high road" bullshit isnt helping. They leave us no retreat from the BS so we leave them none either.
We are not them.
I think right before shooting the last guys arm.
This kid can't even vote and has done more for the republic than any of us over centuries/millennia of combined age.
That's probably like 50 less Biden votes if we assume each felon voter votes for Biden 25 times
I was already incredibly impressed with his poise, precision, and discipline. But he may have also had to clear a jam?
What a madlad. o7
10/10. Would pick first for militia.
he already made first-team militia.
going for militia all-stars.
that's the only SPORTS I still like
I feel inadequate compared to a 17 year old.
All after running like 200 yards. I can’t even run to the toaster and clear some jam on toast.
Can someone explain to me what clearing a jam means
Your car breaks down in the middle of a race and you fix the car while continuing to race all the while never having stopped.
And while being shot at
And hit with skateboards.
Yes
When a rifle malfunctions - "jams" and cannot fire any more you need to "clear" stuck ammo manually which can be hard to do.

... more operator than 99.99% of the population... FTFY

GoFundMe shut down his defense fund, and a well-known criminal attourney offered to represent him for free after.
Tap Rack Bang!
Practice till it becomes second nature...good for Kyle...

That works too👍
I had a jam on a Tavor and I had to figure it out for a minute. This is very impressive.
