That quote became a defining idea for me in adulthood the first time I saw that movie. That and the door lock test.
Sonny - "Mikey Mantle makes $100,000 a year, how much does your father make?"
Calogero - "I don't know."
Sonny - "You don't know? Well, see if your father can't pay the rent go ask Mikey Mantle see what he tells you. Mikey Mantle don't care about you so why should you care about him?"
I’ve had people encourage me to make a YouTube channel specific to my skill set and interests (like a lifestyle channel). Friends want to set up family/kid channels. I think they are crazy. You have to trade your dignity, your privacy, compromise your values and hide your political and moral views, and sell your soul to the sponsors. It’s never worth it.

Yep, I'm happy with my lot. I certainly wouldn't trade my dignity to be a performing clown, no matter how well paid.
