'Bleeding Kansas' was the precursor to Civil War I. Much of the nation was stunned when the actual war started because the media hadn't attached enough gravity to the crisis developing "out west". Indeed, that crisis was inflamed by the almost-daily arrival of outsiders looking for opportunities to escalate the conflict.
The same thing is underway in Minnesota and Wisconsin right now: running gun battles and outsiders looking to rack up casualties and accustom the locals to the shock of actual bloodshed. The media is downplaying the violence so that the national shock and confusion will be magnified when the actual war breaks out after November.
This isn't a new scenario, fellow pedes. The results of the 1860 elections led to war. The Dems are engineering events right now that will play out after the 2020 elections. They won't accept the results, and they'll call for seccesion. Mischief works best under cover of tumult.
