Ben Shapiro has talked about this - I think it's a relatively similar situation to Catholics. Among faithful or Orthodox people who actively live a religious life and attend religious services, there are many more conservatives and pro-lifers in both groups. But there are a lot of people who will say they're Catholic or Jewish, but haven't attended a religious service in years, and those people are mostly liberal.
After all, even Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi call themselves Catholic.
Catholics in Biden and Pelosi’s age range are almost always Democrat. It is mainly because JFK. Republicans tried to smear JFK for being Catholic, and Catholics were devastated when he was assassinated and felt like the animosity towards his Catholic faith played a part in it.
Ever since then the Catholic vote has been slowly moving to the right. Trump won the Catholic vote in 2016 with somewhere around 60%. As much of a wimp as the current pope is, he has not given an inch when it comes to abortion or homosexuality, which pretty much makes it impossible to vote Democrat.
My family is Jewish. We’re non-orthodox. The only time we go to Synagogue is for weddings and bar mitzvahs. My father has always voted Republican and loves Trump. I was an Obama voter (sorry!) who turned to Trump in 2016 (Yay!). My sister is non political. Never votes at all. My mother is a life long Democrat. She said to me last week that she’s not voting for Biden or any Democrat down ticket for the first time in her life. She’s not sure yet whether she’ll vote for Trump or just not vote at all, but she said the recent BLM violence has really turned her off to the Dems and she can’t vote for a party that supports it. I’ll take a non-vote as a win, but I’m trying to convince her to vote for Trump.
The point is - don’t give up on us Jews yet. I think more and more are liking what Trump is doing, or at the very least, hating what the Dems are doing. The majority will unfortunately still vote Biden, but turning just a few percentage points of votes can make a difference.
Edit: Btw, we’re in PA, so our votes are critical!
I just had a screaming argument with my own mother over Wisconsin. Needless to say we're both Jewish. I had to fight to finish a sentence. Is not happy.
Lol! I’m in the Philly suburbs. I’ve been next door to Allentown at the Bethlehem Sands casino (now Wind Creek casino) a number of times and, of course I’ve been to Musikfest in Bethlehem. Everyone within 100 miles has been to Musikfest :-)
There's a philosophical reason for not uttering the word "God" in that the concept of "God" is truly unknowable to a mere mortal and it is in a sense idolatry to even speak the name.
I'm not religious but I enjoy studying such things.
There’s a reason I write “G_d” instead of spelling it out entirely: It is forbidden to erase His Name, so I refrain from spelling it out where someone might print it and subsequently erase or deface it.
(Not that those three letters are His actual Name, but we still do that.)
It’s a sign of respect, and should not be misinterpreted as the opposite. Now if someone uses the lowercase g, then I’m with you.
I can confirm this the Israeli American side of my family all Trump supporters. The Jewish American side all still think Russia stole the election for Rabbi Hillary (the closest they ever get to synagogue is a lesbian rabbi singing Leonard Cohen badly with guitar in a drum circle)
I'd like to see Trump become the first Republican to win the Jewish vote in 2020.
He's was already getting like 95% of the Orthodox Haredi vote here in Lakewood, NJ. But most Jews are liberal.

Yes. Also the Amish are (for the first time) getting involved in politics for Trump.
Without open borders, on a long-enough time-line, all of America will eventually be Republican. 😍
Trump actually got a shitton of Amish votes in 2016. It was a factor in winning PA.
Where I'm at the Amish market has a big trump sign out front. I didn't even know they voted.
That’s awesome. I need to see what I can buy to support the Amish. I used to think they were nuts but now I think they are the smart ones.
I believe they feel that insurance is akin to gambling and thus didn't care for the ObamaCare individual mandate.
It was something like 95% I wanna say. That’s what happens when you don’t allow yourself to be brainwashed by the media.
I've not seen many non-orthodox Jews not supporting the riots/blm/etc. I think that's the one vote the DNC can still rely on.

Ah, cool, I used to live in Allentown over 30 years ago.
It's been over 5,000 years, bitch! Get it together already! :-D

Awesome! PA is one of the states I really hope turns Red, I mean locally too.
It's good to hear stories like this. Thanks for sharing and all the best with convincing your mother!
Jews are completely indoctrinated. I would reconsider if they actually had the gall to type God instead of g-d over and over

He’s getting all of the Israeli jewish people votes thats for sure.

/me voms
I am Jewish in NY, and pretty much all my extended family (with a few exceptions) and all my Jewish friends are trump supporters.
