I've not seen many non-orthodox Jews not supporting the riots/blm/etc. I think that's the one vote the DNC can still rely on.

My family is Jewish. We’re non-orthodox. The only time we go to Synagogue is for weddings and bar mitzvahs. My father has always voted Republican and loves Trump. I was an Obama voter (sorry!) who turned to Trump in 2016 (Yay!). My sister is non political. Never votes at all. My mother is a life long Democrat. She said to me last week that she’s not voting for Biden or any Democrat down ticket for the first time in her life. She’s not sure yet whether she’ll vote for Trump or just not vote at all, but she said the recent BLM violence has really turned her off to the Dems and she can’t vote for a party that supports it. I’ll take a non-vote as a win, but I’m trying to convince her to vote for Trump.

The point is - don’t give up on us Jews yet. I think more and more are liking what Trump is doing, or at the very least, hating what the Dems are doing. The majority will unfortunately still vote Biden, but turning just a few percentage points of votes can make a difference.

Edit: Btw, we’re in PA, so our votes are critical!

I just had a screaming argument with my own mother over Wisconsin. Needless to say we're both Jewish. I had to fight to finish a sentence. Is not happy.

Ah, cool, I used to live in Allentown over 30 years ago.

don’t give up on us Jews yet.

It's been over 5,000 years, bitch! Get it together already! :-D

Lol! I’m in the Philly suburbs. I’ve been next door to Allentown at the Bethlehem Sands casino (now Wind Creek casino) a number of times and, of course I’ve been to Musikfest in Bethlehem. Everyone within 100 miles has been to Musikfest :-)

Awesome! PA is one of the states I really hope turns Red, I mean locally too.

It's good to hear stories like this. Thanks for sharing and all the best with convincing your mother!

Jews are completely indoctrinated. I would reconsider if they actually had the gall to type God instead of g-d over and over

There's a philosophical reason for not uttering the word "God" in that the concept of "God" is truly unknowable to a mere mortal and it is in a sense idolatry to even speak the name.

I'm not religious but I enjoy studying such things.

And it's trash, meaningless, just a way to show you prescribe to what they were told

There’s a reason I write “G_d” instead of spelling it out entirely: It is forbidden to erase His Name, so I refrain from spelling it out where someone might print it and subsequently erase or deface it.

(Not that those three letters are His actual Name, but we still do that.)

It’s a sign of respect, and should not be misinterpreted as the opposite. Now if someone uses the lowercase g, then I’m with you.

It's a sign of you being indoctrinated.
