I agree. I absolutely love the Amish. I buy most my groceries from their markets, go to their yearly gathering. Every one I've talked to is kind and friendly. Not to mention their construction!

Really? I've always respected them, but I've always found them surly, almost hostile, to outsiders.

Maybe if I lived in that part of Pennsylvania I would have met more of them and would have a fairer basis for an opinion.

I live in Indiana. We don't have as many so maybe the smaller community means they have to be nicer to outsiders?
