I ordered six weeks ago and the QD bipod mount was backordered. I didn't get one then but did this week. Best deal on triggers though and their QD scope mount is nice also.
Advice requested. I own a couple of handguns, but am interested in getting an AR-15. Do you recommend purchasing the parts or a completed one? When you buy the parts, how difficult are they to assemble?
Assembly is like Legos. First took my 2 hours. Next one 1 hour. Most recent was like 20 minutes.
I recommend purchasing a kit. Basically all the parts but the lower reciever (buy the lower and your local gun shop). You get the experience / understanding of building, without the frustration of buying the wrong stuff, forgetting stuff, etc.
Then for your second, you have an idea of the parts involved, allowing you to much more successfully shop for individual parts.
Like Nostepadepepe said. Also try a book called " Gunsmithing the AR15 by Patrick Sweeney. Since you are in eastern PA(?) You can try Relic Hunter Firing Line just above Allentown. They had Areo brand Lowers in stock last week. Then pick a kit. They are a very easy build
I'd advise kit the first time. Palmetto State Armory has some good ones. That's what I did for my first one. Building just from parts can be a problem if you don't pick right. I suggest that you get your feet wet first.
Assembly is generally easy. I've spent quite a bit on tools, but I've also assembled half a dozen of them, so my suggestion is for the first, get a kit or at least an assembled upper; the upper is what most of the tools are for.
The kid beat the message by a couple days
"Shoot me, nigga!"
Pedophile then takes a bullet to the head and cries as he dies
While his "comrades" stock phones in his face to film it, fucking clowns

Not fair! My LaRue order last month didn't include a sticker this spicy!

Their trigger is ridiculous. An $80 trigger simply shouldn't feel that beautiful.
The missing LeRue!
I had better not get a rodent bound for Cuba in my next order from them...
Hey, I just got an order with a sticker, but it wasn't as good as this one.

Also start reading forums (ar15.com is one) alot of the people on the reddit board are asses but you can learn there too.

Larue.

Larue
LaRue is an outstanding company run by a great, if sometimes gruff, veteran.
You'd probably be arrested for having this sticker in California
Texas
