Like all reorgs, you get to rehire the people you need and want. A lot won’t relocate so attrition can be an advantage. Allows right-sizing. Hinders burrowing by transfer. Frustrates lobbyists, hopefully. Utilizes the talent around the nation. Some agencies, like agriculture are better in the Midwest nearer its constituents. Most agencies are extremely bloated, except staff to the First Lady - that one was fixed a few years ago, haha
Get everyone away from each other so they cant get too cozy and chummy. Same concept why they move you to a new duty station every 3 years in the Army.
I like this idea. I think the disressed cities in this country would be a fine place to relocate the federal bureaucracy. I'm thinking Detroit, Gary, Fresno, Cleveland, Buffalo, and St. Louis. These cities need the stability of a bunch of federal employees.
Wouldn't they all just get burned ground? Surely they need to be somewhere with a competent mayor and stable polcie force?
Place these agencies in God's country where they can get right with the Lord.

A massive fed agency in OK would increase the cost of living, which is one of the current perks of OK.
Some of that has already been started. I think parts of the USDA got moved out to the Midwest.
No!!!!! The workers at the federal agencies are 95% democrats. That’s why DC and the bordering MD and VA counties are shitholes. We don’t want to move them in other states where they’ll turn any nice happy republican town into a democrat shithole.
I think the hope is that the bureaucrats refuse to move so the agencies have to be re-created by people native to the new area.
“Hope” isn’t good enough for me. If they fire them all and then move the agencies I’ll be ok with that, but if they just hope the workers quit because they don”t want to move, then I think it’s too risky. We don’t want to destroy middle America by moving communists there who will vote for the same people that destroyed the city they came from.
They could require that these agencies hire a certain percentage of each local community.
I like the idea of moving them physically far away from the entire NYC and northeastern population centers in general. The decades of coziness with the financial, media, and government power centers could use a shake up.
As a Virginia resident who works in the DC area, let me offer up some opinion on this matter.
Almost everyone who lives here works for the Federal government or in some way supports its infrastructure. It is an echo chamber of leftist ideas and the more people, who are required to move here because all of the federal work is here, the louder that echo becomes.
Breaking up the Federal agencies and moving them out of the tiny DC area (believe me, its tiny, we're stacked on top of stacks) will be a tremendous achievement. I know many who would rather quit their job than move to, say, Kansas, meaning that the Fed would have to hire locals in those areas.
In addition, it would help Virginia and Maryland politically as currently all the voting force in concentrated in this tiny area. So even if the the Democrat federal workers do move, it reduces the political power in Northern Virginia and allows the state to turn red again. Likewise for Maryland, which was also once a red state. Those Dems who move may one day turn an area blue, but it is also likely they'll be exposed to different ideas. Remember, it is a hardcore echo chamber here in DC right now.
I would agree with this sentiment. Austin is a cucked Democrat city but it is not nearly as bad as SF or Portland or Seattle because it's surrounded by Texas. That moderates them a bit.

This is what I believe! Move our capital to mid-America. Sure, it would cost a fortune, but look at all the jobs that would be created - for years to come. And if someone from the west coast wants to go to visit, they don't have to cross the entire continent to do so. I love the idea of planting it in Kansas or Nebraska - in 'flyover' country. Let those dickheads call it that from their suburban Lincoln home. Haha.

In the private sector, Bentonville, AR became a globalist swamp because every company begging for shelf space at Walmart and related had to be there to schmooze 24x7.
The same pattern has no place in representative government.

YES, put one federal agency in every US State Capital.
And then once that’s done, start adding them to the larger cities.
And make sure to put the FBI or CIA in Alaska, lord knows they deserve it.

The entire point of having them all in DC was that no one state would receive unequal favor or representation. Spreading out the disease wont cure it.

I don't want big government losers in my neck of the woods jacking up home prices and voting for hardcore communists. Just cut the government workforce by 50 to 90 percent. It's bloated beyond belief.
Cut the federal workforce instead. These globalist swamp rats would be able to bully us even more if they moved into our states, cities, and neighborhoods like Stasi spies. Keep them in the DMV region.
