Good political apology, but he has a history of going wherever the wind (and money) blows. :(

Fuck Glenn Beck. Do or say anything for money and influence...just like 99% of politicians.

Don't trust him. Don't trust Levine. Don't trust Nikki Haley. Don't trust Lindsay Graham.

Shall I go on?

23
Trump2030 23 points ago +23 / -0

Please do ;)

ItGoWooWoo 11 points ago +12 / -1

The beauty in having terms for politicians is that you can trust them to deliver promises by voting, AND you can also find that they did not deliver the promises they promoted when you voted for them. You cannot hold talking heads to this same standard, thus why Beck is in question. I think what the comment you replied to meant more of "do not rely on" because the noted people cannot truly be held accountable.

Mark Levin, to his credit, was never a Never Trumper and ended up tepidly supporting him before the election - to be honest, I was very unsure of myself at the time in 2016 as well - I was just completely beside myself at the thought of a Hillary presidency so I did the deed.

Levin usually speaks positively about Trump and criticizes him on occasion. I can understand why a guy like Levin would be skeptical of Trump - Trump is very instinctive, Levin is more of a rigid philosophical conservative.

16
aaafirefly123 16 points ago +16 / -0

Well Trump is remaking the Republican Party in his image, and the RINO cucks like Romney have formed a Party-in-Exile called the Lincoln Project.

The never Trump Republicans will probably end up becoming Democrats once it sinks in that Trump has permanently changed the makeup of the Republican Party.

7
CopterPurveyor 7 points ago +7 / -0

Democrats by another name. The best thing Trump has done for us is clearly show the people in "our" party that are traitors to the cause and just grifting.

4
Ihhuwaa819 4 points ago +4 / -0

Good fuckem have fun getting ostracized from the party of rioting if they try to slide in

1
aaafirefly123 1 point ago +1 / -0

We have to make sure that the RINOs don’t take back power after Trump, we need to keep nominating MAGA Nationalists until the RINOs surrender or leave.

13
jamesfinmadison 13 points ago +13 / -0

Levin is a hard core constitutionalist. He was a Ted guy. Nothing wrong with that. He came around after Trump won the primary. Beck was off the rails crazy.

4
PatrickSebast 4 points ago +4 / -0

Speaking positively about a leader but criticizing on occasion is pretty much what the expected standards of patriotism are in the country so I'm okay with that.

2
Hjfp5 2 points ago +3 / -1

Mark is an asset, if not his radio show, then his books are enough. I don't like some of his hot takes sometimes, but I also don't want to realize one day that I have been in an echo chamber for years without realizing. Mark speaks his mind, explains why he disagrees with our President when he does. Take it or leave it. But he is not attacking him, just giving a different take. We ourselves need to continue to be independent thinkers and at least listen to an opposing view point from time to time so that we don't end up like the left.

2
Bubbahax 2 points ago +2 / -0

I really like Mark Levin and I've agreed with pretty much every opinion I've heard from him. But his munchkin voice makes him very difficult to listen to. I remember when he filled in for Rush many years ago. I thought it was a comedian doing a bit.

1
Hjfp5 1 point ago +1 / -0

Agreed. It's hard to get through a whole show sometimes.

2
NadlersTits 2 points ago +2 / -0

David Horowitz isn’t who I thought he was at all! I enjoyed reading about the deep state but research David. Look into his family, he exposes corruption but WILL NEVER LET YOU TALK ABOUT HIS FAMILIES! Seriously, he’ll attack an it’ll go nowhere.

It’s for everyone too check out on there own. I’m not trying to trash anyone who likes him. Like I said just weeks ago, I was clueless to his past.

Dude has been saying things like this for three years admitting he was proven wrong. At some fucking point, take the win.

Guess what I didn't support him in 2016 either but he proved me wrong too, am I suppose to still be outside with no coat?!

18
generated_name 18 points ago +22 / -4

I'm in the same boat. I was practically a Never Trump guy in 2016.

I was proven wrong. My opinion changed. Am I not allowed a ticket on the Trump train?

9
TychoDurandal 9 points ago +9 / -0

You are, but you have to get some pretzels from the bar car.

5
CopterPurveyor 5 points ago +5 / -0

You didn't do it for money, people have genuine reasons to support or not support a candidate. That's America. Glenn Beck is a grifter.

2
SilverStarv5 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not at all.

I was wanting Trump to run since I read an article about him running on the old Drudge in early 2015.

I’m just a little weary of Beck. I’m grateful that people can change their minds. Honestly I hope he’s being totally sincere and he appears to be so.

18
JoeBidenIsAPedo 18 points ago +19 / -1

Glad many Pedes see this. Let this be a lesson to all of his critics on why Trump is the GOAT- Great instincts, tells you exactly where you stand with him, and tremendous loyalty. Glenn Beck could learn a lot from that.

Still, kudos to him for going public and apologizing with some ownership of his actions and words.

9
Wadsworth34 9 points ago +9 / -0

What money was he following in 2016 when the majority of his supporters were voting for Trump and giving him shit?

5
Cacciali_Via 5 points ago +6 / -1

I dont know but at the time he was trying to go very moderate. He was having meetings with big tech social media companies and quit criticizing them. He was reaching out to left wing hollywood radicals like Samantha B. etc.

I dont know if he ever found the money, but I'm pretty sure he was looking for it.

You mean when every single person inside the beltway thought Trump was not only going to lose but lose badly enough to utterly destroy the Conservative movement, leaving nothing but the Neocon RINO's in charge?

Gee, i can't imagine why Beck would have been supporting the Neocon RINO's when everyone around him was 100% sure they were going to be the only ones left with any influence at all.

Sure is a mystery

5
Chickenbaconpoutine 5 points ago +5 / -0

But it might cause others to wake up, which is good.

Boy of boy those numbers for the Dems must be looking atrocious because I see a lot of rats changing their tune all of a sudden.

32
Avenatti2020 32 points ago +32 / -0

This.

In his defense he allegedly did do well on calling out the Ukraine bullshit so it’s not like this apology came out of nowhere. That said, I (and likely many others) will not give him the time of day because of his early treatment of Trump. Maybe if he continues to do good work that can change but he really let a lot of people down when Trump needed support the most to discard the hag in 2016.

13
sickofaltspin 13 points ago +16 / -3

He's been on the train since at least Charlottesville. But some pedes won't take the win.

Guess what I wasn't a supporter in 2016 either.

Same reason we shred Shapiro.

If you get on the Train but then jump off every single time it hits the tiniest bump, only to run to catch up again saying "Wait up guys, I didn't mean it this time, you can't blame me, Trump's rhetoric made me do it, let me back on!"

You don't get to just hop on and act like it's all forgiven.

We're glad he did this. It was the right thing for him to do.

I just don't believe he means it because all the evidence from the past is that he does whatever is politically expedient for his bottom line.

1
sickofaltspin 1 point ago +2 / -1

I absolutely hated the concept of Hillary - have since her husband was my Commander in Chief - but I was convinced Trump was at best controlled opposition - I protest voted for Gary Johnson and really wanted Rand Paul.

I was shocked but pleased by the outcome of the election - but really didn't expect Trump to be anything but another self serving POTUS and for the status quo to remain pretty much the same - I had the feeling of dodging a bullet.

For whatever reason I spent the day of the Unite The Right protest via live streams etc. and was shocked to watch the media spin AS HARD as they did - that was the day that my black pill turned deep maroon, and I ended up with our family here.

Since Beck is the morning show on my local talk station, I can confirm at least following that incident, he's been on the train - he may have only had one foot on and was ready to jump, tuck and roll at anytime - but I get really upset that so many in our family are unwilling to see that change he made.

5
Avenatti2020 5 points ago +5 / -0

Has he? The only time I started seeing him pop back up on T_D was during the Ukraine bullshit. Could be inattentiveness on my part.

The difference between someone not supporting Trump in 2016 and Beck is that Beck did some pretty stupid shit to backstab his party instead of trying to get to know Trump’s positions/policies.

Happy he supports Trump now, just difficult to forget his cheeto schtick and would rather devote time to Bongino and others who were ahead of the curve on Trump.

3
jamesfinmadison 3 points ago +3 / -0

And why do we need to give our attention to someone expected to educate us who has such horrible judgement? Should I buy or promote the work of someone just because they say they are sorry and ignore their horrendous judgement as a pundit and journalist?

1
Cacciali_Via 1 point ago +2 / -1

He is also a mormon, so that makes two very large lapses in judgement.

He may be back in the Trump fold now, but his discernment ability can never be trusted again, and that is what he prides himself on.

You know my dad hated Trump until recently too. He did not believe Trump was a true conservative. And he trashed talked him all the way to the November Election where he begrudgingly castes his vote for Trump (though he didn’t think he was going to win).

No one expected a Billionaire from New York to be the most conservative president since Ronald Reagan.

6
_deleted_ 6 points ago +8 / -2

Unless your dad is a high profile political commentator with a talk show that reaches millions, spewing years of bad Trump info, then it's not really comparable. Having doubts about someone isn't the same as being a fair weather conservative RINO.

3
Cacciali_Via 3 points ago +4 / -1

Beck also supports Mike Lee, who is constantly trying to sell out the country to H1Bs.

4
ByteKnight321 4 points ago +4 / -0

I am not a political animal, I don't research the players for a 3-4 hours a day show and see what paid researchers provide me. I wanted Carson in the primaries but then saw what the press was and knew they would not let him serve, and looked into Trump past the Hype and voted for him. I also knew that when Trump stood with Mr. Cason during the debates when no one else did and THAT clinched it for me. So I was able to classify Glen Beck, Mit Romney, Nikki Haley, and Lindsay Graham have as RINOs and I can stand them but never support or trust them.

1
aaafirefly123 1 point ago +1 / -0

I don’t think Glenn Beck is a RINO,

I would need to see his positions on trade and immigration before 2015 to be sure though.

After all a RINO is someone who believes in one-sided free trade and open borders.

I could not understand what was going on with Beck. I followed him in his early years. I get that he was a Cruz guy (I was too, though didn't follow primaries close to know better), but once he won the nomination, I was a Trump guy. When I heard his 1st speech (100 days speech) I was blown away and totally on the train.

Glad Beck has at least admitted his folly...

It hasn't taken him long. He has been saying stuff like this for at least three years but there are many pedes here who have refused to listen.

5
jamesfinmadison 5 points ago +5 / -0

May he retire in quiet serenity having cleared his conscience. Of course we know he won't do that for the same reason he rolled his face in cheeto dust: he's an egotist who wants attention and money.

Good luck Mr. Beck. "Blaze" on your own. I don't need your perspective and analysis, or theatrics, to inform me. We have so many others now.

Elijah, break out on your own when you can! You do good work.

5
sketchy_at_best 5 points ago +5 / -0

Glenn Beck is an absolute hot mess. I honestly think he has emotional problems or something. I quit paying attention to anything he said a long time ago. He’s gone from traditional Conservative, Inc to libertarian to Never Trump to Yay Trump, and made a huge deal out of it every time.

GEOTUS 45 had me at "the escalator ride", as I instinctively knew that only a rabid-pitbull street fighter had a chance against Killary & the MSM Hit squad.. In these last 4 years, I don't believe he's disappointed me, even once..

4
Tip-O-Matic 4 points ago +4 / -0

YES!! I was the exact same way. Early on, I was rooting for Dr Ben Carson, and a few weeks into the primary season, I realized that Trump was the only one who had the balls to beat the bitch. Carson was too polite, and all the others were politicians who would have ended up being too scared to stand up to Hillary. I'm with you-Trump has never let me down.

5
Geocav 5 points ago +5 / -0

I love and respect Dr. Carson so much and think he'd make a great president with his wisdom & heart, but he would've been eaten up by the rabid media. Before Trump made his official announcement I was for Ted Cruz knowing that he was a fighter, but even Ted couldn't stump the Trump, once I saw Trump make his announcement I knew he would be our greatest hope in fighting them, not even knowing just how crazy the left & their media would get, no one else could've stood up under all that, yet still smirk rite back at them making them eat their hearts out some more. I still like Ted, even though things got vicious between them in the primary, Ted did the right thing and supports the President

4
Tip-O-Matic 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep, I like Ted more now than I did 4 years ago. He (and Rubio) made the mistake of letting Trump bait him into acting childish, which told me he wouldn't have been able to handle the media. I think everyone who's paid attention to our president has learned a lot and have become a lot more emboldened, so yeah, I would consider Ted to be a viable candidate again.

In the beginning the Patriot is scarce, and hated and brave and scorned. When he has been victorious, the timid will join him, for now it costs them nothing.

Glen Beck is the timid. And tho he himself is a worthless waste of human life, his actions are a positive indicator.

3
the_federalist 3 points ago +4 / -1

...He says as he grasps desperately for his last shred of relevance.

3
flabbyfanny1 3 points ago +3 / -0

I didn’t vote for Trump in the primary, so I too was unsure of his sincerity. But as the race closed and I spent time learning about Trump, I had little doubt and happily voted with him in 2016. I am, like most, just an observer and amateur. A citizen.

As a professional commentator and broadcaster, Beck had a front row seat and it is his job to discern who Trump really was, and he didn’t change his view. He hated Trump and was against him, which essentially made him for Hillary.

I can forgive him now but I won’t forget that, or ignore it. Beck lost my viewership and respect.

3
Alex355f1 3 points ago +3 / -0

I question his authenticity, he's definitely playing whatever keeps the show a float. But right now I'll take any and all support we can get, our democracy depends on this election and congressional seats are a top priority right now as well.

3
T-Bear 3 points ago +4 / -1

Apology accepted. Now, how are you going to make amends and reconciliation, Glenn Beck?

Saying, "I'm sorry" isn't the end of owning up to one's mistakes. One has to make it right.

For many people, this goes right over their heads. They think the words are enough. They aren't.

3
qbeam 3 points ago +3 / -0

And I still don't watch Glenn Beck to this day.

3
CaptainAhole 3 points ago +3 / -0

I was a very loyal fan, bought books, went to events, never missed a show, but when we needed all hands on deck Glenn went AWOL. I feel he was one of the reasons President Trump's victory was not bigger than it could have been he swayed a lot of Republicans to not vote for Trump. He can have a change of heart after the fact, I will forgive him but I feel he was hedging his bets and got burned. He may have been one of the 1st casualty of the "Get Woke, Go Broke" phenomenon.
