Had not seen the second angle before, which pretty clearly shows the pedo guy get low and load up for a bull rush, right as Kyle turns to defend himself. The headshot would appear to be a total coincidence from the guy a) being short already, and b) crouching down to attack him. Kyle showed remarkable restraint and accuracy in all his follow-up shots in attempting to incapacitate the aggressors, not execute them head-shot style.
