One thing, and I understand it's hard to keep at the forefront of one's minds: there are a very small number of these people (MAYBE a few thousand, if that), in a country of millions. They are VERY undisciplined and unorganized. There is (quite obviously) nobody with any higher level military experience that has training in tactics and strategies. And finally, always keep in mind the videos of them being confronted by actual riot police; they totally freak out and run away. IMMEDIATELY. Remember how long it took to shut down the CHOP (15 minutes or so?). These people are extremely ugly and obnoxious, and certainly dangerous when confronted when they're in a large group and you're by yourself. But as far as a real threat? No, I don't think so.

But there have been a number of times when I was on here reading posts and someone would point this out and ultimately I've come to the conclusion that it definitely seems to make sense. But the imagery is horrific and it's quite reasonable to be disturbed by it.
