Well, it's too bad I love playing sports, so your theory is flat out wrong. Do you know your history, familiar with gladiators? There's a difference between organized team sport or team activity, which I agree builds character and camaraderie -- and a national tribalist distraction for grown men to get drunk and be outraged at.

I hope we see people use their time away from sports to get involved in their communities, rather than just praising the players who are contractually obligated to do so.
