"Crossing the state line" is something they can say to say we "broke the rules" of the game they're playing. It's the same reason why they want to "defund police" but whenever something gets real and they need a time out in their LARP, it's all about "Call 911".
"You crossed state lines, you can't do that!"
"You're carrying an AR-15 and you're 17, you can't do that!"
"You shot 3 of us and killed 2 when we tried to beat you to death in the street, you can't do that!"
It's just a game to them, and I don't think they realize that we're not playing.
