I mean, I agree with your larger point about how stupid it is to turn this into some weird anti-semitism thing, but still... antisemitism is ethnic bigotry, nor racial. There are black jews and white jews, and maybe a few others as well.
For purposes of US law, Jewish is a separate ethnic group/nationality. That’s why antisemitism falls under protection of title VI of the civil rights act, despite that law not covering religious discrimination.
Right, but race is different than ethnicity. There are white jews and black jews. White hispanics and black hispanics. Ethnic jews are racially white or racially black.
If this were true, physical stereotypes of Jews wouldn’t exist, and all the stereotypes would be cultural. Like “having a big nose” is a stereotype of Jews. That’s not something you get from a culture, it’s purely genetic. There is clearly a biological set of traits stereotypically associated with Jewish people.
It’s like saying “Irish people have red hair.” Yes I can move to Ireland and claim to be culturally Irish, but I’m not part of the genetic group that has these traits.

Irish people are also not a race. Even people that have red hair are not racially irish, they are white, of Irish ethnicity.
