The problem is a lot of these arguments are based on the fact that “Priests abuse little boys” so often that statistically it’s abnormal.
However the numbers are a bit different, I don’t know the numbers off hand (will try to find some) but statistics wise, you are LESS likely to be abused by a priest than if you take the population as a whole. Meaning, if you take everyone indiscriminately of their profession or who they are, you are more likely to be abused by them than if you only focus on Priests.
