It wasn't the primary reason I moved to a deep red state a couple years ago. But it was on the list. Wanted to be in friendly territory if the fit ever hit the shan. Whereas before I was in a deep blue part of a purple state.

I know where I stand and what I believe and in that sense, I've already "picked a side" but I see the increasing division of America as being the result of leftists escalating the situation so in reality, they're the ones picking the side and they're the hammer that's driving the wedge in society.
There are two sides: America and Those that would destroy America.
