Everyone knows the kid is innocent. This order is 100% politically motivated and came from the top on down. If Barr had balls instead of the eunuch he is he would jump in and do something about this. Regardless though, I think there is a good chance Trump does something after the election. Either a pardon or a commutation or something. This kid does not deserve to spend one second in jail. He should be given the key to the city and have a parade thrown in his honor for what he did.

Was the bald pedo the guy who threw the thing everyone thought was a fire bomb, or was there an earlier scuffle between the cars where pedo tried to grab the gun - then is McGinnis that reporter from Tucker Carlson's show who took his shirt off to use as a bandage for pedo?
McGinnis is a reporter for the daily caller I believe. Yes, he is the one who is on the Tucker Carlson show. He was on scene covering the story and is the man who applied his T-shirt to the bald Pedo’s head.
In the full conplaint McGinnis says Kyle ran off right after shooting while McGinnis stayed near Baldy. Video disproves this. Video also shows someone shoot before Kyle (thanks NYT) l, and Baldy going after Kyle before Kyle shoots.
No laws prohibit an underage person from carrying a rifle with a barrel of at least 16 inches in Wisconsin. The DA charges him with misdemeanor illegal possessing on Wisc. Stat. 948.60(2)(a). However, that section
“applies only to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a rifle or a shotgun if the person is in violation of s. 941.28 or is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593.”
The latter two code sections deal with hunting, and don’t apply. The first os only violated in the case of rifles if the barrel is less than 16 inches. Perhaps his was, but it looked like a sixteener to me.
Perhaps he broke an Illinois law getting there, or maybe his mom or dad drove him (all of 20 minutes), which could provide an exception to IL FOID requirements. At any rate, IL law isn’t what’s at issue.

His rifle was a loaner from someone in state, so the travel portion of things wouldn't be an issue. (that's according to attorney Lin Wood, who seems to be doing the public speaking for Kyle at the moment)
Kyle’s sling saved his life by thwarting multiple takedowns and disarm attempts. He had good teachers.

It's a miracle that all video and photo evidence exonerates him, and there is A LOT of it.
He did exactly the right things for exactly the right reasons at exactly the right times.
