We need to remember: Reddit is not real.

We know basic artificial intelligence can recognize patterns in imagery and text. It can be programmed to respond accordingly in a completely automated process. Reddit is not a social media platform in the conventional sense, but rather a mass behavioral modification tool. It is very effective in it's ability:

-Positive Reinforcement:

Shape the minds of those easily influenced especially if you're already leaning in that direction. This refers to the echo chamber it is often called. It allows for virtual signaling within group think and is a rewarding process for the lonely child with few friends or real life objectives.

-Demoralization:

Tear apart those with a real opinion. It is easy to hide away those who resist using the upvote system. Who here has felt the demoralization of speaking the God's honest truth? It is something we know all too well.
