Gun sales between private individuals is legal in my state. Those kinds of sales do not involve any background checks or records keeping. This is what the Press always confuses as "the gun show loophole". The difference is that when you are in the gun show, all those people selling guns are licensed gun sellers and all of them do a background check and keep paperwork (for 30 days). Sometimes there are gun sales in the parking lot between private individuals and that's what the anti gunners don't like. Many gun shows don't allow private sales in the parking lot, but they still sometimes happen.

I don't know how this pertains to WI law and letting a 17 year old from out of state borrow a rifle, but I'm sure we will find out in the coming months.

He was charged with possession of a dangerous weapon under 18, so the state thinks he violated the gun laws. Some are saying there's an exemption, we'll see.

It's not a "dangerous weapon" under that code section; there are explicit exceptions for openly carried long guns. Stop spreading commie disinformation; stop trying to sound clever on the internet and instead DEFEND WESTERN CIVILIZATION.
