2 years is horseshit. That’s so completely unreasonable which means it’s unconstitutional. We the People have the right to speedy trials. Has this right been completely lost on the populace?

Yes. Half the populace would gladly take a shit on the Constitution.

Yes, a right to a speedy trial exists. But the innocent rot in jail while lawyers argue to judges that the Constitution does not define exactly what speedy is -- therefore, as long as things are handled promptly and in "normal" amounts of time, the "speedy" requirement is met. Been there.
