A common similar situation is a drunk driver (slightly over the limit) is driving properly and a sober driver/pedestrian/biker/etc does something improper causing an accident with the drunk driver and caused their own death or occupant. So the perforated heart and pelvic injuries, while life threatening, paled (no pun intended) in severity compared to the most serious 3 injuries. And that doesn't even mention the "superficial" hand and thigh injuries which are mere childs' play.
This guy would have died even if he'd been surrounded by surgeons with gallons of O neg blood, a chest saw, rib spreader, artificial heart, and one of those ECMO things that oxygenate blood.

I'm not a doctor, but he sustained multiple fatal injuries. I'd be surprised if the coroner can even determine which injury was the cause of death. (He'll prob go with the heart)

Dr. Kelley also conducted an autopsy on Anthony Huber. Dr. Kelley indicated that Huber had a gunshot wound to his chest that perforated his heart, aorta, pulmonary artery, and right lung.
I honestly don't think he suffered as he died, and he died very quickly.

If someone was to survive said gunshot you leave yourself open to litigation in the realm of you shot to permanently maim or disfigure and it is hard to defend against especially if there is evidence that you aimed there on purpose. Read another article from a witness saying "shoot me nigga" had been badgering Kyle earlier and had attempted to disarm him at least two times prior to where the video started. Kyle retreated and thats where the video picks up.

If he had actually been shot in the head he would've been missing half of it (look at the guy who got shot in the arm and how much was missing from it, now apply that to a head).

I don’t think the issue or charges have to do with him killing in self defense. It’s that it was a riot zone and he shouldn’t have been there. Thus his self defense isn’t a defense anymore.
A common similar situation is a drunk driver (slightly over the limit) is driving properly and a sober driver/pedestrian/biker/etc does something improper causing an accident with the drunk driver and caused their own death or occupant. The drunk driver will still get an unintentional homicide every time.
Now replace dui with rioting/trespassing/breaking curfew or whatever and you have the same situation.

This case is going to drag out forever, isn't it? This whole situation is terrible. I mean, he most definitely acted in self-defense, but he never should have been there in the first place, in my opinion, because there never should have been a riot/protest in the first place. That his victims are all convicted felons tells you about the nature of the people attending night-time riots, looting, etc.

His aorta and pulmonary artery were perforated. Liver too. That's a lot of internal bleeding. No blood to the heart, no oxygen to the brain. So the perforated heart and pelvic injuries, while life threatening, paled (no pun intended) in severity compared to the most serious 3 injuries. And that doesn't even mention the "superficial" hand and thigh injuries which are mere childs' play.
This guy would have died even if he'd been surrounded by surgeons with gallons of O neg blood, a chest saw, rib spreader, artificial heart, and one of those ECMO things that oxygenate blood.
Basically, keeping the blood in him would have been like trying to inflate a fishnet stocking.
I'm not a doctor, but he sustained multiple fatal injuries. I'd be surprised if the coroner can even determine which injury was the cause of death. (He'll prob go with the heart)

I honestly don't think he suffered as he died, and he died very quickly. It takes a long time to asphyxiate compared to passing out from blood loss to the brain. (It only takes 8 seconds in a sleeper hold to pass out) The weasing was probably involuntary muscles on auto-pilot until they inevitably lost the electrical support of the oxygen that was no longer being delivered anywhere.
He probably just blacked out and the internals shut down while the lights were out.

I heard that if you are in a self defense situation, one of the better places to shoot someone is in the pelvic region because the pelvic region doesn't move as much as the upper body so it's easier to hit and because a good hit to that region will immobilize the attacker almost immediately.
Not sure that's the right way to go, especially if the attacker has a gun, but it kind of makes sense.

I would still aim center mass. If someone was to survive said gunshot you leave yourself open to litigation in the realm of you shot to permanently maim or disfigure and it is hard to defend against especially if there is evidence that you aimed there on purpose. In order to strike both the right lung and the liver, the bullet would've traveled vertically through the torso. So it probably was Kyle, the bullet entered the upper back and went straight through from the shoulder to the pelvis as he was falling forward.

I happened to see the video/pictures of him this morning before seeing this and saw the head injury. Was immediately clear it was a grazer. If he had actually been shot in the head he would've been missing half of it (look at the guy who got shot in the arm and how much was missing from it, now apply that to a head).
The pelvic shot is what did him in although getting hit in the lung easily could have as well.
The one interesting thing is the shot in the back. The guy never turned around (fell straight forward and rolled over) and Kyle didn't stand over him and shoot him so how was he hit in the back? You also only hear 4 shots from Kyle in the video but there are 5 gunshot-inflicted wounds (groin, back, hand, thigh, head).
There's a big blood splatter on Jinja's chest, I assume from his hand exploding, so one shot could make two injuries.
