The major problem with them is that the seeds are patented so farmers can’t save their own seeds anymore and are forced to be dependent on these large corporations. Farmers who don’t use GMO seeds are also target if they save their own seeds as it’s usually not hard to find a few GMO plants in their field from seeds that blew in and then charge them with patent infringement.
