The riots will get worse after the election. Measures should be put in place that would really clamp down on violence post-election or it's going to be a shitshow. The opposition has already demonstrated that they would rather burn it down than allow Trump to have a second term.

It only happens with the cooperation of local authorities, and a lot of local authorities would rather see their city burn than have a good economy under Trump. Yes, this is psychotic, but it needs to be recognized, and preparations need to be made, like, for example, stationing DHS in Democrat cities, taking key ringleaders off the streets. liaison with local law enforcement, etc.

Those ringleaders are the mayors, DAs, governors, police chiefs in some places. Those are who need to be taken off the streets.

Indeed they do. The conditions need to be put in place that would make this possible.

We have to think long term. Four years isn't enough to salvage the American Dream. Martial law would stop the violence, but it wouldn't do anything about the source of the violence.

Yeah I think part of the reason why his response has mostly been along the lines of: 'Fuck you Dem governor/mayor, if you aren't begging for Federal aid I'm not sending it in.' is because he doesn't want to appear heavy handed.

I think the gloves are gonna come off after he handily brings home another 4 years.

Second term Trump wont' give a fuck. Either the riots end election night or they will be forced to end by inauguration day.
